The Expert Staff at Traditions of West Chester

Our days are filled with important duties and routines. Yet human connection takes precedence over the necessities of our job descriptions every time. You are why we're here.

We bring varied backgrounds and skills to our roles, but we are all here to love and support you.

Executive Director : LaVel Matthers

LaVel Matthers is the Executive Director at Traditions of West Chester. Lavel began her career journey as an STNA then restorative aide. After 3 years she went to nursing school and did clinical nursing for 12 years. LaVel worked in corrections, med surg, and emergency nursing. She  found her niche shortly after in admissions and marketing on a regional level and transitioned into an executive director role for the past 4 years. "I did not choose healthcare, I asked for guidance from a higher power and healthcare chose me! There is nothing else I’d rather do!"
The most rewarding thing to LaVel is knowing that she's had a positive impact on someone’s day and more so in the life of others, whether that is residents, families, or staff.

LaVel has four beautiful children, two of which are twins! She is a soccer mom and grandma and you will often find her running down the sideline needing oxygen! She loves to laugh and seeing other people smile makes everything worthwhile!
Allie Satterield

Community Relations Director : Allie Satterield

Allie is a graduate of Purdue with a double major in Human Resources and General Management. Having decided to go into senior living in college, she made the most out of her two internship experiences within life plan communities during her junior and senior years in college.

Since graduating, she’s spent her first two years in human resources and finance for a skilled nursing community. Allie then served as the Community Relations Director at one of our Traditions Communities in Indianapolis. Most recently, Allie served as an operational leader at one of our Cincinnati communities. While her time as an Executive Director taught her many things, it pointed her back to her true love, which is filling our communities with new residents. All these experiences have allowed her to have a better understanding of levels of care and the importance of resident relationships as they enter this next chapter of life.

Born and raised in Cincinnati as a triplet, Allie considers herself a natural caretaker and an excellent multi-tasker. She looks forward to using these skills in her role here at Traditions. She says her favorite part of this industry is the opportunity to learn from her residents and build genuine relationships with them.
